What I collect and why
When you join or give a gift
Checkout happens on Stripe, my payment provider. Stripe collects your payment details; they never reach this website or me. Stripe shares your name, email address and shipping address with me (and, for gifts, the recipient’s name and your message) so I can mail your envelopes and contact you about your membership. Stripe’s handling of your information is covered by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
When you send a message
The contact form sends your name, email address and message to my inbox so I can reply. I keep messages only as long as I need them to help you.
Spam protection
The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to keep out spam. reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and how you use the page and sends it to Google. Its use is covered by Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Analytics
With your permission, this site may use analytics cookies to count visits and see which parts of the site are useful. They stay off unless you choose Accept in the cookie banner.
Website hosting
The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like most web hosts, its servers keep short-term technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser types, to keep the site secure and running.
Cookies
- hm_consent remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, for 180 days.
- Google reCAPTCHA sets cookies it needs for spam protection.
- Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them.
You can change your choice any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Sharing
I don’t sell or rent your information. It is shared only with the services named above (Stripe, Google reCAPTCHA and Hostinger) so they can do their part, or when the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it by emailing hello@heartmadecardclub.com. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law, and I’ll honor them.
Children
This site isn’t directed to children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
